Triathlon at the Olympic Oval
Travis signed up to do 4 triathlons this year. His first one was in April. He got a new carbon bike this year and he was soooooooo excited to have it for his first race.
We left our house at 6am and the closer we got to the oval the snow got thicker and thicker until it was a blizzard. It wasn't looking good. They decided to cancel the bike section of the race because the roads were too slick and it was way too dangerous.
They also had to change the swim to the inside lanes instead of the giant outside lanes. So Travis was a little bummed out. He is such a positive thinker that he was over it in 5 seconds. Being around these people is so inspiring. They are all so positive and ready to go. You can't be a complainer when you compete in competitions like these. They are driven by positive thinking. There whole race was changed and I didn't hear one person complain:)
He did great in the swim, the swim is his biggest strength. Then they went straight out side for the run. They just ran wet in the freezing cold. It was nuts!!!

Then they went back to the pool and finished up their swim. After their second swim they finished off the race in the Olympic Oval. It was pretty sweet!
He did a great job but it definitely felt more like a warm up compared to the usual full Triathlon. But he still had a lot of fun.
Grandma Joye and Brighten got to come to this race. Brighten was soooooooo proud of her daddy!! My mom loved it too. It really is and amazing thing to see. Super motivated people I tell ya!
I love watching him set goals and accomplish them. He amazes me!! Good job babe! We love you!
My camera broke at this race so that's why all of these pictures are so crappy! But good news.....I finally got a new one for mothers day! Yahoo!!
